Chocolate Brownie Hummus, like regular hummus, is made with chickpeas. Chickpeas are high in iron and fiber, and aid in digestion.

How to make Chocolate Brownie Hummus:

Drain chickpeas and add to blender or food processor with cacao powder, maple syrup, almond butter or preferred butter (or tahini for a nut-free version), coconut oil, almond milk (or preferred milk or water), and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.

Refrigerate until preferred consistency is achieved. I like to refrigerate for a few hours before I eat it.

Be sure to save the chickpea water for other desserts; nothing goes to waste!

  • 1 can Chickpeas
  • 1/4 cup Cacao powder
  • 4 tbsp Maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp Almond butter or preferred nut butter or tahini
  • 1 tbsp Coconut oil or vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp Almond milk or preferred milk or water
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Drain can of chickpeas and add to blender or food processor. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth.
  • Add chocolate chips for extra chocolate.
  • Eat right away or refrigerate.
